WHAT IS PROFHILO?
Profhilo is an injectable skin remodelling treatment containing high concentrations of hyaluronic acid (much like dermal fillers). It retains moisture through the body, increasing collagen. It is also knows as the ‘5 point face lift’ due to it being injected through 5 micro injection points on each side of the face excluding the forehead.
It spreads through the face and neck giving you a more youthful appearance acting a bit like anti- wrinkle treatments. Recommended for skin loosing elasticity, firmness and people wanting smooth textured skin.
HOW DOES PROFHILO WORK?
Ultra-pure hyaluronic acid is precisely injected into the area being treated. Unlike wrinkle reducing and dermal filler treatments, Profhilo stimulates collagen and elastin, attracting water in the deeper layers of the skin.
As a stabilised product, the activity on dermal cells will last longer than that of a non-stabilised gel. During this time the stimulation of four different types of collagen and elastin takes place by slow release of hyaluronic acid.
The stimulation results in significant tissue improvement. Therefore we cannot say that Profhilo is a skin booster as it also has a significant tightening / lifting effect on the tissue.
DOES IT HURT?
It it injected using a fine needle just beneath the skin in precise points. You may feel a sharp scratch and sting sensation but it doesn’t last long.
HOW LONG DOES IT LAST?
It lasts anywhere between 6-12 months however it’s recommended you get 2 sessions within 4 weeks to achieve this. To maintain super smooth and hydrated skin you should get it every 3 months.
CAN I WEAR MAKE UP AFTER?
You should not wear make up for 24 to avoid infection.
WILL I SEE RESULTS STRAIGHT AWAY?
You will see some results from 7-14 days however you wont get the full results unless you get a 2 treatment after 4 weeks.
